The School House is a charismatic cottage, built around 1780, with traditional limestone walls. It is located in the pleasant village of Winterbourne Abbas, just 4 miles west of Dorchester. - Sunny, attractive front garden.
Accommodation Pleasant Entrance Porch with room to change boots etc. Large farmhouse style Kitchen, with built in electric fan oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Dining area with solid pine table and chairs. Door to rear courtyard and garden. Sitting Room featuring arched limestone fireplace with oak mantle, log burning stove on hearth, comfortable suite, widescreen colour TV (with Freeview channels via satellite dish), video, radio/CD player. French doors to rear garden and courtyard. Cloakroom with separate WC, washbasin. Spacious storage area/utility room, with washing machine, sun loungers. Upstairs to: Bathroom with bath and shower over, & wc. Master Bedroom - double bed, ensuite electric shower plus wash basin. Second Bedroom with twin beds.  Rear Garden / Courtyard - Secluded courtyard and small garden with lawn.
- The paved courtyard, complete with table and chairs, is ideal for al fresco dining or maybe just enjoying a glass of wine. There is a chiminea to provide warmth on chilly evenings.
- There is a shed with a latched door with storage space for logs etc.

Location - Winterbourne Abbas is a delightful village with an ancient church, St Marys, located opposite the cottage. The historic pub 'The Coach & Horses', popular for its carvery, is just a few minutes walk from the cottage. There is also a petrol station/shop close by.
- The village is just 4 miles from Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, steeped in history and with character shops, tea-rooms and restaurants.
- The whole area is excellent for walking. The famous 'Hardys Monument' is just 2 miles from Winterbourne Abbas, and is the crossroads for the South West Coast Path and the Jubilee Trail.
- 10 miles to the south of the village lies Weymouth, a classic beach resort at the heart of the newly designated 'World Heritage Coast'. To the east of Weymouth are the Purbeck Hills with breathtaking coastal paths, and to the west Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury with its swannery and sub tropical gardens.
