 This detached cottage sleeps 2. It has an extremely spacious open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen area, 1 bedroom and shower room. Outside there is a beautifully landscaped garden and a decked area next to the burn. The Owners believe in giving their guests a holiday location that simply excels in every way. Location and Facilities: Whether you want a truly active holiday or just an opportunity to switch off, this is an ideal location just 1.5 hrs drive from Glasgow. Portsonachan means Port of Peace in Gaelic, and the setting for the cottage is spectacular, beside the Allt Baan Burn surrounded by mature trees with good views of Loch Awe and Ben Cruachan. Nature is on the doorstep with deer, heron and a wide variety of birds being regular visitors. Facilities include Satellite TV, DVD player, CD player and an excellent selection of DVD's and CD's. Separate laundry room with WM and TD. A selection of guide books and maps are available in the cottage. Out and about - 2 hotels/restaurants within 15 mins walk.
- Oban the Gateway to the isles is 30 miles away.
- Golfing at Dalmally, Inveraray, Taynuilt and Oban.
- 7 Munros on the Cruachan Mountain range.
- Fishing on Loch Awe, the Rivers Awe and Orchy. Rainbow Trout Fishery at Taynuilt.
- Fantastic area for walking/cycling/touring.
