Nestling in the rural setting of Kilconquhar is "The Old Post House", a cosy comfortable two bedroom holiday retreat. It has a mature and attractively laid out garden secluded and safe for children. A small wrought iron gate leads to a private parking area and beyond a children's play park.

The open plan ground floor accommodation consists of:  
  • Hall with ample storage for golf clubs.
  • Cloakroom with wc. and wash hand basin.
  • Sitting room with coal effect gas fire, tv dvd cd and radio sound system.
  • Dining room with seating for six.
  • Kitchen - well equipped with windows over looking garden and french doors leading out to patio.
  • A small conservatory with views onto hills beyond.
  • An attractive staircase leads to the first floor with two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom.
  • Master bedroom again with views onto garden.
  • Cottage style twin with wash hand basin and fitted wardrobes.
  • Family bathroom with shower over bath and a large airing cupboard.
  • All bed linen, towels and bath robes are provided, however robes are only included for stays of over four days.
  • The house has full central heating with all gas and electricity included in the price.
  • There is a double sofa bed for those unexpected guests enabling the cottage to sleep six.


Location  

  • The East Neuk of Scotland remains unspoilt with its charm and quaint old villages, curious little harbour shops and seaside restaurants.
  • The fishing village of Pitenweem hosts an annual Arts Festival during the first week of August.
  • Boats trips run daily during the summer months from Anstruther to the sea life colonies on the Isle of May.
  • Visit the picturesque harbour of Crail and choose your fresh lobster from the catch of the day.
  • Potter along the coastal paths and enjoy a snack in one of the seaside bistros.
  • There is a good watersports centre at Elie offering sailing tuition, windsurfing, canoeing and the beach. There is a sandy, clean and dog free beach - a lovely place to relax and unwind.
  • Golfers are definitely spoilt for choice with some lovely links courses - many of them pay and play on your door step.
  • The historical town of St. Andrews is a leisurely twenty mins drive and for those wishing to venture further afield Edinburgh and Perth are approximately one hour's drive.

General details  

  • Pets are to be discussed with owner befor booking.
  • Smoking in the property is strongly discouraged.
  • Keys can be posted to your home or collected on arrival.
  • Changeover days are normally Saturdays, however out of season the owner will endeavour to accommodate you.
  • Arrivals are from 3pm onwards and departures no later than 11am.
