1 Old Police Cottage, was built in 1858 by John Norton, an architect entrusted with the design and rebuilding of Tyntesfield House, a fabulous Gothic Revival extravaganza owned by the National Trust.
Simple in comparison, our holiday cottage originally commissioned as a Police Station, has been updated with modern amenities, but retains the elegance of a bygone age. Both the building and the surrounding area are steeped in history and provide something for all ages.
Dunster sits on the edge of Exmoor, with its own Medieval Castle, working water mill, historic Church and even a Victorian Railway Station where you can turn back the clock and ride on a steam train.
