Ideally located at Colyford between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis in East Devon, The Manor House is a Grade II listed self catering holiday cottage dating from the 16th century. There are many historical features still in place, including the original Jacobean galleried staircase and dog grates, inglenook fireplaces in the kitchen and both lounges, a 'priests cupboard', and a wealth of nooks and crannies, all of which combine to make this cottage so beautiful and individual. - The property is approached from the private car park, where there is ample parking for up to six cars, and down a few steps through the beautiful walled garden.
 - The gardens are a good size to both the front and back of the cottage and are completely enclosed, allowing children to run around to their hearts' content in perfect safety while the adults relax on the patio.
Accommodation The property has a magnificent 26-foot country kitchen with an Aga and, with plenty of room for ten people, the huge dining table can accommodate the finest of feasts. There are two beautiful lounges complete with inglenook fireplaces. The main lounge has a fabulous wood-burning stove, original elm floorboards and deep window seats. There's also a practical utility room, for all of the dull but necessary domestic chores, and a downstairs cloakroom. All of the downstairs has under-floor heating, so that even on chilly mornings you can feel the warmth of the house beneath your feet. There are a total of five bedrooms, one downstairs and four upstairs, so in total we can sleep up to ten people. Four of the bedrooms have huge super-king-size beds for an incredibly blissful night's sleep. The beautiful master suite has a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath overlooking the country garden. Besides the master suite, there are two further double rooms on the first floor and a separate bathroom. The fourth bedroom, with twin beds and its own en-suite bathroom, is in the eaves of the roof. The fifth bedroom is downstairs, next to the lounge.
