We have really enjoyed our week here-one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in (and we’ve stayed in many!) Peaceful, warm and comfortable…log fires every evening, even though we didn’t need them!! To those who follow…ENJOY!

The weather has been so kind to us, making it a perfect week for explorations! Speak to the locals they have some great knowledge of the area. A great cottage, good location and a wonderful place for a relaxing week.

Many thanks for a fantastic cottage in which to spend a great holiday! Definitely the best stocked self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in, all the creature comforts we could ask for! Our favourite parts of the cottage were…the fire and the window seats, where we sat and had spectacular views of the sunrise over Holy Island. The cottage is lovely and cosy and a fantastic time was had by all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break at Goswick…the cottage certainly has a lovely location. It was just like home from home, very clean and comfortable. I can’t think of anything you don’t have in there. Thanks again for all of your efforts to accommodate us and make us feel so welcome.

Fabulous week, great weather until last day! Long walks along the beach which was empty. Loved Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne, both well worth a trip.
If you like a stiff walk, go to Wooler and follow sign up to the Cheviots and Langleeford. Climb up The Cheviot (814m) or Hedgehope Hill (714m) – all in Northumberland National Park – great views but exhausting!
Berwick on Tweed is lovely. A very happy holiday and loved the house, Thanks.

Lovely cottage, we enjoyed it all. Had a great couple of “beach” days at Coldingham (near St Abbs) – good cliff walking. Great day at Bamburgh and cycled to Holy Island from the cottage another day. Alnwick gardens – always great for young kids (take swimmers!)
Thanks !

Despite the inclement weather, we had the best holiday in years in this fantastic area! We would like to revisit all of the places we went to this year as there is still so much to do.
We recommend: Holy Island’s nature reserve, Conundrum Farm, Hershel Country Park, Etal wall castle and railway and the Farne Islands.
Sadly we weren’t so successful with the fire and wouldn’t survive long on “I’m a celebrity get me out of here!” Oh well it was fun trying but the cottage was lovely.

Fantastic holiday though I’m sure the Northumbrian weather helped!
Beautiful beaches- sandy at Goswick and fossils at Cocklawburn! We found Goswick golf club to be very hospitable and welcoming after many years of not playing golf!!!
We ate at a lot of places but we would certainly recommend the Blue Bell at Belford and the Oxford Farm shop and tea rooms at Oxford.
Loved the cottage itself, ideal location for a peaceful break yet close enough to explore the local area.

We had a really relaxing week; the cottage was ideal for us, especially with good facilities for Nan and a teenage family.
The beach walk was lovely for this time of year and the weather was great.
Our 13 year old son is now an expert fire maker and kept us warm all week!
The area is remote and really suited us as we needed some time to “chill” from our hectic lives.
The cottage has been a delight and we have enjoyed our week.

Lovely cottage enjoyed the space and stove, appreciated the comfortable sofas and beds. I recommend Pease Bay and the nature reserve. Good weather for February.

A mixed family of 5, enjoyed the warmth of the fire and comfort of the house…..Lovely! Wonderful sunny weather contributed to the short holiday along with the long sandy beaches. We will be back!
