  New Autumn 2005 Rustic Retreat in Rural Herefordshire A delightful rustic barn with real individual style and ambience set in 22 acres of beautiful farmland in the depths of rural Herefordshire with spectacular views of the black mountains and rolling countryside.
  The Barn itself sleeps parties up to 8 people and has quality furnishings and fabrics throughout. Accommodation consists of: - Entrance hall/ sitting area with flagstone floor, large sofa and piano with its full height windows perfect on a summer evening.
- A large cosy lounge with wood-burner (all logs supplied) and terrific views from all 3 aspects.
- A simple country-style kitchen with oil-fired rayburn (wonderful for chilly evenings), large oak table seats up to 10 people, free standing old pine cupboards, Belfast sink and all the boring essentials: fridge freezer, cooker, microwave etc.
- French doors lead to patio with glorious views of the mountains.
- A taste of Herefordshire with our generous welcome hamper full of quality local produce - bacon, eggs, croissants, fresh coffee etc.
- The bedrooms: all with French wrought-iron beds:
- Bedroom 1 with 1 double and 1 single.
- Bedroom 2 with 1 double.
- Bedroom 3 with 1 single on the gallery.
- There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge.
- A family bathroom completes the upper floor (2nd bathroom with shower from May 2006).
- All pure cotton bed linen and towels.
 
Outside: A large wild garden with several sunny seating areas for a quiet read, evening drinks, barbecue or simply to sit and admire the view and take in the pure peace and tranquillity of the place.
Location The barn is situated in the small hamlet of Newton St Margarets with narrow country lanes which abound with wild flowers and fauna. There is a host of things to do - walking, mountain climbing, cycling, canoeing, mountain boarding etc. We are only 10 miles from the famous book town of Hay-on Wye, the welsh border town Abergavenny (14 miles) and the city of Hereford (14 miles).
