Location Information
Kilcar is situated on the west coast of Donegal, seven miles west of Killybegs (Ireland's premier fishing port). The area boasts panoramic sea views and safe sandy beaches. Hill / mountain climbing (Slieve League), fishing, deep sea angling, boat trips with magnificent scenery, horse riding, pitch'n'putt, golf (35 minutes). Indoor sports facilities including gym. It has many excellent restaurants serving cuisine including fresh sea food. Traditional Irish music and hand weaving.
This is the cottage of Johnny McGroarty, Gold Medalist - world trade fair, Munich, for a piece of tweed hand woven by him.

Drive 35 kms west of Donegal town through: Dunkinelly - Killybegs - Kilcar. Follow our signs on coast road - we are 3/4 of a km, on the right.
