 Ocean Blue is a very attractive mid terrace house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on a select new development on the edge of the coastal fishing village of Seahouses. It is within 300 yards of the cliff top path and the coastal footpath. Excellent sandy beaches, the harbour and the village, which offers a good variety of places to eat and shop, are on the doorstep. The house is tastefully furnished to a very high standard in a light an airy style which reflects its coastal location. It is an ideal base to explore both the Heritage Coastline and stunning rural Northumberland. The house is ideal for a small family but also 2 couples holidaying together as it has 2 bathrooms. Having central heating it is a very cosy house and suitable for holidays all year round.

General details:

Seahouses is part of the north Northumberland Heritage Coastline, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  
  • There are two beaches easily accessible on foot from the cottage and the beautiful, unspoilt beaches at Bamburgh and Beadnell are within three miles. Beadnell is the safest beach in the area for bathing.
  • Seahouses had numerous places to eat for all tastes and budgets. Interesting shops selling local produce; especially good fish at Swallows.
  • The golf course is 2 minutes from the house.
  • Internet access is available at the Resource Centre.
Out and About  
  • The coastline of North Northumberland is well known for its sandy beaches and superb scenery along with its picturesque villages overlooked by magnificent castles.
  • For the water sports enthusiasts Beadnell Bay is 2 miles south. Boats can be launched from here and Seahouses.
  • Just off this stretch of coastline, lie the Farne Islands. Well known by SCUBA divers and naturalists alike, these islands are host to a diverse cross section of marine life and coastal species. Boat trips to the Farnes can be arranged from Seahouses harbour.
  • There are interesting market towns in the region. Alnwick with its majestic castle, famous gardens and weekly market is only 12 miles away. Morpeth and Berwick both a scenic 25 mile drive.
  • A visit to the region would not be complete without a visit to Holy Island. (Tide times can be checked at Seahouses, or ask one of the locals).
  • Young or old, walker, bird-watcher, golfer or sandcastle builder the area has something for everyone.

  • The cottage was beautiful with a lovely ocean theme to the decoration and pictures. Kitchen was a very good size and house lovely and warm considering how cold the weather was. Local shops were very close and convenient.
