 We invite you to share our pleasure in this dear little house, named for its original occupant, which we have been enjoying for nearly 15 years. It's a real tonic, set in breath-takingly beautiful, Highland scenery and maintained to a very high standard by our valued caretaker-neighbours.
Accommodation Large hall with plenty of room for coats, etc. One double bedroom and one twin-bedded room, both well furnished. Bathroom with shower over the bath, washbowl and toilet. Bow-windowed living room, facing south to loch, with open fire, settee, winged armchairs, gateleg table, dining chairs, glazed bookcase and court cupboard. Kitchen well equipped with a cooker (oven and hob), microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, toaster, kettle, iron, etc. Warning-washing-up can be hindered by view. Fitted carpets throughout, oil-fired central heating, fixtures and fittings of good quality and comfortable. Hair dryer, electric fire, garden chairs, books, board games, etc. Please note - no television and radio reception can be difficult. Part-week lets at a proportional rate, plus £25 per booking. Charges include all heating, other than coal for the open fire, electricity, bed linen, towels and tea towels. Surrounding Area Outstandingly beautiful, full of romantic ruins, lovely gardens and fabulous walks. It abounds with wildlife. Kilchrenan has two good hotels nearby and a pub which serves meals in the summer. Six miles down the glen, Taynuilt offers a butcher's, grocer's, tea-room, Post Office and an hotel open all year for meals. Oban is 18 miles away, pretty, bustling and the main ferry port for the Hebrides.
