An attractive, substantial, traditional and comfortable cottage with excellent accommodation, 4-oven Aga, piano and 4.5 acres of croft land to its own rock-pool shoreline. Newton has fine sea views to the sands of Morar and lonely Knoydart, yet is sheltered and only 200m from a good hotel and village shop.  

• A large farmhouse-style kitchen with pine units, teak tops and antique dressers, seats eight. The hall table seats eleven.
• The spacious, light sitting room has sofas/armchairs for nine, and breakfast in the conservatory facing the morning sun is a pleasure.
• Newton, our year-round home for twenty years, has 1500 books, furniture, pictures, carpets, curtains, and beds of higher quality than usual in holiday cottages.
• The Sleat peninsula, known as "The Garden of Skye" has wonderful views of the Small Isles, the Cuillins and mainland mountains, the best range of eating places in Skye, and good sandy beaches. Excellent walks start from the house. Armadale Castle and the "Museum of the Isles" are a mile away. Ardvasar is a charming village half a mile south of the Mallaig ferry pier enabling trips to Rum, Eigg, Muck and Canna.
