Nether Whitlaw Cottage is a recently refurbished house on a secluded and pleasant site, 200 yards from the farmhouse and steading with extensive views to the Cheviot and Eildon Hills. It has recently been comprehensively modernised and extended and sits in a large newly laid out garden. The farm is in the middle of an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', one of the first to be designated in Scotland. It is an ideal base for hill walking, fishing, golf and horseriding, and for visiting the four Border abbeys and nine stately homes, and a great number of museums and archaeological sites are within easy reach. - For the naturalist there are three small marshes on the farm of considerable botanical and entomological interest which are SSSI Nature Reserves.
- Fishing is available on the Rivers Tweed, Ettrick and Yarrow, and on nearby Lindean Reservoir.

Ground floor: Porch with room for boots, front door; Sitting room with open fire, television, DVD player, telephone, ample chairs, dining table, games and books; Hallway; Double bedroom with double bed and king size duvet and pillows; Ensuite shower room with large roomy power shower, wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail; Corridor leading to kitchen; separate toilet with WC and wash hand basin; small utility room with central heating boiler and washing machine/ drier; Kitchen, well equipped with electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, table and chairs, patio doors to ramp and front garden. Stairs to First Floor: Roomy Kingsize bedroom with king size duvet and pillows; Family bathroom with bath, power shower over bath, WC and wash hand basin; Twin room with 2 single beds with duvets and pillows, and a cot is available on request. This is a well equipped and comfortable country cottage. All you need to bring with you are towels or these can be hired.
