With easy access to North Cornwall's renowned surfing beaches, Myrtle Cottage offers peace and seclusion on the edge of the charming village of Chapel Amble, yet is only a stone's throw from both pub and shop. Rock, for winsurfing and sailing, the Eden Project and the Camel Trail for cycling and walking are all close by.
Accommodation Set in a conservation area and reached by a narrow lane this slate hung, detached cottage dates from the early 18th century. Its spacious kitchen/diner has beamed ceilings, a stone and slate fireplace with original oak lintel and an ample table for family meals. Its pretty slate floored kitchen gives access to a utility room, wc and a sitting room with comfortable sofas and french windows leading you out to a lovely, private, south facing garden. Upstairs are three fresh, simply decorated bedrooms; one double; one single and one twin bedded, and a bathroom with bath and power shower. Facilities - Prices include electricity and oil, cot and high chair and all bed linen and tea towels (please bring your own towels and cot linen).

- Large private, south facing garden, patio area with garden furniture and a small pond.
Local Attractions - Polzeath with its beautiful sandy beaches and excellent surf. Tuition and equipment hire are available on the beach.
- Rock for sailing, wind surfing, water skiing and a ferry or water taxi to Padstow where you can dine at Rick Stein's or one of the many other excellent restaurants in the town.
- Port Isaac is a short drive away and also has many excellent restaurants as well as a small fresh fish market and local fishermen offering fishing trips.
- Tintagel is a must for some local history.
- Riding on Bodmin Moor.
- The Camel Trail, a cycle trail that goes from nearby Wadebridge, where you can hire bikes, either along beside the beautiful Camel estuary to Padstow or in the other direction alongside the river up onto Bodmin Moor.
- A maze of local footpaths and quiet country lanes for cycling and walking lead directly from the cottage.
- There are two excellent 18 hole golf courses within 10 minutes drive, one of them right on the coast at Daymer Bay.
- Further afield but ideal for day trips are the Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth, Lands End, The Tate Gallery at St. Ives.
