 Moorland View Farm is set in the hamlet of Winkhill on the Staffordshire/ Derbyshire border with views over both the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales. Many local attractions are within a short travelling distance, the market town of Leek (6 miles), Ashbourne (The Gateway to the Dales) is 7 miles, the famous Alton Towers (6 miles) and the Potteries about 20 miles. For those who like a more active time, the hidden treasures of the Manifold Valley, Tissington Trail and Dovedale await you. The nearby village of Waterhouses has a well equiped cycle hire shop with easy access to open countryside along a dedicated cycle track.
Robin's Barn Cottage was a disused milking parlour and cart shed and has been transformed into a comfortable two bedroomed cottage. - It has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, another single bed can be provided to make it a triple room (additional £15 per booking).
- It has a fully equiped Kitchen/Dining room and a separate lounge with television and DVD player.
Swallow's Barn Cottage was also a milking parlour, but now a transformed into a comfortable one bedroom cottage on one floor. - It has a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge/dining area.
- The lounge area has a television with DVD player and satellite receiver for 30 sky channels.
The owners live on site in the Main Farmhouse and are there to make your stay as enjoyable and trouble free as possible. You might wish to invite friends for a couple of days and they are welcome to stay in the Main Farmhouse on a bed and breakfast basis (subject to availablilty).
