The Miterdale Cottage is an old family home built by Norma's grandfather 100 years ago and, although modernised, still has an old world charm. The sunsets from the decking at the back of the cottage are wonderful!
The 52 week price list is the minimum price for use of one bedroom as we find most of our visitors are single couples.  If you are four people and require two bedrooms please get in touch and I will let you know the price.
Letting to holiday makers is a new venture for us. We live just five miles away in Gosforth and so can give it our personal attention. When it is not booked we use it ourselves.
If you want to book for less than a full week contact us for special arrangements, but obviously full week bookings take preference.
We are keen that your holiday experience will be a great one and we look forward to your feedback.
The one thing we have no control over is the weather, but you will often find that while there are black clouds hovering in the valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale (where the high fells are) coastal Ravenglass is in bright sunshine.
Heating is by night storage heaters and a coal fire, and back-up direct electic heaters. Many guests comment on how cosy it is, especially in winter sitting by the fire!
Electricity, coal, bedding, are all included in the price.
  Please bring your own towels.
Parking is permitted in front of the cottage and there is a free village car park 200m away.
