Visitors Comments:-
"We had a lovely holiday at Millpool View.  I have never known such tranquility and peacefulness.  Very therapeutic and memorable."

"We spent wonderful 14 days in this amazing village. This summer holiday was so relaxing for my wife and myself: our children really loved to go down to the Millpool for crabbing where we could spend time in Rivershack Cafe.  And we did a lot to support both your local pubs ;-)   We are truly considering coming back again.  Thank you for preparing Millpool Cottage so nicely, it is really a charming place."

"This has been the perfect place to begin our Honeymoon"

"Had a lovely time thanks. All excellent with the cottage- had everything we needed. Really appreciated the location as well."

Owners notes:-

The cottage sits above Byter Mill Lane, built into a hillside.  There are two sets of steps to reach it from the lane (approx seven steps in each set) thus affording the stunning and far reaching views, but making it difficult for those with mobility problems.  Parking is not directly outside as the lane is too narrow but as it is a no through road it is rarely used by anyone except the residents, so you can easily stop directly outside to offload passengers and/or luggage/shopping without causing a problem to anyone.  At the bottom of the lane (1-2 mins stroll from the cottge) you can park on the roadside or in the free carpark.

It's a delightful, charming and very romantic little cottage, overlooking the millpool (which is more like a lake) and situated in a quiet no-through lane in a village  which has two pubs, a grocery/general store (which will delivery food to your door free of charge), the Rivershack Cafe on the quay which is licensed and sells great food and multi-flavoured ice cream and a post office selling all kinds, including daily newspapers.
it's about 10 miniutes drive to the nearest beach and approx 30 mins to Dartmoor.
The cottage is comfortably furnished, incuding two sofas, one leather, in the living room, stripped wood flooring, wood burner etc., and the kitchen is well equipped.
There are two bedrooms - one with a kingsize bed overlooking the millpool, one with twin beds overlooking the back garden and field beyond.
There is also a large attic room with restricted height, with a TV/video & dvd, cusions, beanbags and rugs -  suitable as a chillout area for adults, or a playroom/extra TV room for the kids.
The bathroom also overlooks the millpool, including a loo with a view and a small Victorian bath, there is a walk in shower room off the half-landing landing, and a separate toilet/cloakroom downstairs.
There is a long and pretty back garden looking out onto a field and french doors onto a deck out front from the living room, overlooking the millpool again, with a small garden beyond
