MILLPOOL VIEW COTTAGE, Stoke Gabriel, Devon - Stoke Gabriel nestles at the end of a creek on the river Dart between Totnes and Dartmouth and is only 3 miles from the sea. Providing a peaceful and romantic retreat, perched on a hillside above a millpool on a quiet no-through country lane this very special cottage, one of eight originally built for the millworkers of the village, enjoys stunning panoramic views across the millpool to the creek and woods beyond. The centre of the village is a short stroll alongside the millpool and up through the old orchard, where you'll find a general store and grocers, gift shop, post office and two pubs. The Rivershack cafe on the quay, in view from the cottage, serves great food - here kids can have a go at crabbing while you relax and watch the boats coming and going and admire the gorgeous views. Sainsburys is within a 5 min drive, a large M&S store is approx 20min drive away and Tesco will deliver to the door. For families and kids' fun days out the traditional seaside town of Paignton is close by as are the quieter family friendly beaches of Broadsands and Goodrington. All this in an area designated to be of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heavenly South Hams region of Devon.
