Accommodation   holiday cottages in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire: Millers Cottage
  • The farmhouse-style kitchen, fully equipped and modern, displays lots of period features. Take a rest in the window-seat, the sun on your back, while you admire the sheer size of some of the old flagstones! On the table you will find a small collection of 'goodies' to welcome you.
  • Upstairs are the comfy bedrooms, each with its own character; and the bath & shower rooms with their carefully planned modern facilities.
  • In the sitting room a wood burning stove will keep you wonderfully cosy and warm during the colder weeks. Here, for your convenience, we have installed a PC with broadband internet access.

Outside

  • Built of local honey-coloured stone, the cottage stands in 3.5 acres of land, which includes a small holding where we keep poultry and sheep.
  • The lovely garden comprises lawns, borders, trees, roses and herbs.

Chipping Norton - 1.5 miles east of Mill Cottage - is an attractive small market town, perched on a hill overlooking the Glyme and Evenlode valleys - a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are two small supermarkets, a delicatessen and two traditional butchers; three cafes, an abundance of pubs, several restaurants, including French, Chinese and Indian and, of course, Fish and Chip shops! There is a good information centre, a museum and a really wonderful little theatre which is worth a visit. Nearby you can play golf or go horse-riding.

Centrally positioned for Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Cheltenham and Evesham, with Bath and Gloucester also within easy reach, Mill Cottage is very close to Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and Burford -all famous for antiques, and the Cotswold gems - Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters.
