A delightful self catering country cottage set in the stunning countryside of rural Berwickshire in Scotland. Warm and cosy, it was built in the early 19th century as farm cottages. It is constructed from beautiful local golden sandstone, and has tremendous views of the Lammermuir hills in the distance. The cottage is listed due to its unusual architectural features. The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. Centrally located with quick access to the charming Border towns and the coast; and the Lammermuir and Cheviot Hills. The nearest town Duns (4 miles) and the surrounding villages offer a fine selection of restaurants and pubs, individual shops and supermarkets. The historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the coast are 15 miles away and the beautiful town of Kelso 12 miles. Edinburgh is 45 miles. Enjoy the wonderful Borders area with its beautiful scenery, fabulous history and stunning coastline. Ideal location for walking or cycling on the quiet roads. Horse-riding, golfing and fishing are all available nearby. There are many local historic houses and castles; including Manderston, Floors, Mellerstain and Paxton.
