 Mawddach Cottage is a former slate miner's cottage, carefully modernised to retain it's charm. Situated in the small village of Friog it is just three minutes walk from a safe sandy beach. The garden at the rear is terraced affording views of Cardigan Bay and the resort of Barmouth. The cottage makes the perfect base for activity holidays, seaside breaks or just quiet getaways. Spectactular scenic walks, golf, pony trecking and fishing are all available nearby.
Accommodation The stable front door opens into a vestibule with a door leading into a cosy beamed sitting room with easy chairs. From the sitting room a door leads to the beamed kitchen/diner with fitted kitchen, spin dryer, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, colour TV, DVD player, radio/CD/cassette player. All crockery, cutlery, glass and cooking utensils are provided. There is an open fire. Night storage heaters on the ground floor are provided free. The ground floors are slate with rugs. From the sitting room a door enclosing the stairs leads to the first floor. On the first floor is a large bedroom with double bed, washbasin and door to the garden. The second bedroom has two pine bunks. The third bedroom has a single bed. There is a bathroom with bath and toilet. All beds have electric blankets with duvets and bed linen is provided free of charge. General - Electricity apart from the night storage heaters is provided by a £1 coin meter.
- Well behaved dogs are welcome if kept to the ground floor.
- There is a garage for you car.
Location
On the A493 Dolgellau to Towyn road. Towyn has a leisure centre with swimming pool, the Talallyn narrow gauge railway, a cinema and shops. Dolgellau has a range of shops and restaurants.
