 This picturesque fisherman's cottage is what childhood memories are made of. A five minute walk to the beach will enable you to spend lazy days fishing, prawning, swimming, building sandcastles or just messing around in the rock pools. - The cottage is nestled in the traditional rural fishing village of Bucks Mills, which is situated within the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
- It is surrounded by National Woodlands Trust and is a walkers' paradise, only steps to magnificent coastal cliff top walks and winding woodland paths.
- There is a wealth of high quality tourist attractions in the area. The Big Sheep comes highly recommended (complimentary entry tickets included) as does Clovelly, Rosemoor Gardens and 1646. When you've finished all those, fall asleep in peaceful serenity with nothing but the sounds of a babbling brook and the owls hooting in the woods.
Accommodation
Mark's was built in the early 1800's and has recently been refurbished and upgraded to VisitBritain's 4 star standard (including new central heating). - The cottage has 4 bedrooms; 2 doubles and 2 full size bunk bedrooms.
- It is cosy for 2 but will comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults plus an abundant number of children.
- The bathroom now includes a Jacuzzi bath with a shower over it, and a toilet. In addition there is a separate shower wet room also with a toilet.
- The new kitchen has an oil-fired Redfyre stove (its easy to use we promise and makes for a cosy cottage in winter). There is also a microwave / convection cooker, washer /dryer, dishwasher, fridge / freezer and many useful extras.
- For cosy days, roast your toes in front of the wood burner in the lounge, which comes with a TV / DVD.
- There is an enclosed front garden with side patio area with seating and built-in BBQ. Roadside parking is available.
- Bed linen, electric, and oil are included and towels are available on request.
