Smithy is a beautifully restored country cottage, located in the tiny hamlet of Malzie, 4 miles from Wigtown, Scotland's National Booktown.

Set in a wonderful rural hideaway, we have almost 2 acres of wildlife garden for you to enjoy; with ponds, woodland and the Malzie Burn running through. The cottage is tranquil, comfortable and fully equipped - great for a relaxing break. The location is ideal for cyclists, with miles of country lanes to explore. Woodland and forestry walks, beaches, golf courses and salmon fishing are a short drive away. Nature lovers will enjoy bird watching in the garden and occasional visitors include otter, deer, heron, barn owl and tawny owl.
