Visit the ancient market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, an ideal base from which to explore the Lakeland fells, the North Pennines, Hadrian's Wall and the Yorkshire Dales. This recently modernised cottage is located to the rear of an eighteenth century house, a two minute walk to the town centre where there are many attractive, old buildings constructed in warm red sandstone tones. The river Eden flows through the middle of the town and the scenic Carlisle-Settle-Leeds railway line passes through so walkers and railway enthusiasts are welcome.

Location:
Appleby is close to the M6 junction 38 and is easily accessible by train. This delightful, picturesque town is steeped in history, has a world renowned gypsy fair in June and offers a variety of shops, services, good pubs and eating establishments. Nearby are leisure activities such as golf, fishing in the river Eden, indoor swimming pool and tennis courts.

The cottage is available for weekly rentals commencing Saturdays and short breaks are available by arrangement.
