 Losganbeag is a newly refurbished cottage, beautifully situated overlooking the Kyles of Bute in the tranquil village of Colintraive. It's on the coastal road of the village so traffic passing is minimal, but the village shop and hotel and the ferry crossing to the Isle of Bute are only a 5min drive or 15min walk away. It has a generous sized garden with plenty of parking space and room for the kids to run around.
Location - Colintraive itself is a wonderful retreat and base from which to enjoy the scenery and activities Argyll has to offer. Being beside the sea there is plenty of fresh air and spectacular scenery - the perfect place for walking, cycling, fishing, bird and wildlife watching - even seal spotting! It really is the ideal location for the keen photographer and anyone who loves the outdoors.
- The local hotel does great food sourced from local suppliers and has a bar and restaurant menu.
- The shop has a Post Office and stocks a range of basics as well as some local produce, newspapers, magazines and gifts.
- There is a local holistic therapist offering a range of treatments if you're needing a helping hand to relax.
- At the village hall, there is a community garden and outdoor bowling green. The village hall hosts ceilidhs, coffee mornings, art exhibitions, bbqs and our annual fete. Check the notice boards at the hotel and village hall for upcoming events and local goings-on!
Colintraive is within easy driving distance of: - Rothesay, Isle of Bute - Mount Stuart, Kingarth Stables, 2 golf courses.
- Dunoon - 2 leisure centres, River Rocket, Quadmania, cinema, Castle Museum.
- Tighnabruaich - sailing school, local art gallery, Millcroft Lavender, golf course.
- Inveraray - Inveraray Jail, Inveraray Castle, Arctic Penguin, whisky shop.
- Glendaruel - our neighbouring village with hotel, playpark, historic Church.
