The Lookout sits up on the Cliffs overlooking the Solway Firth with unsurpassable views to the hills of Cumbria and the Isle Of Man ensuring total privacy for the occupiers.
 Accommodation
It was originally built during the 2nd World war to 'lookout' for enemy U-Boats and has recently been converted to a holiday home of the highest standard ideal for couples.
The cottage lies on the organic farm of Rerrick Park, the farm has its own pebble beach, access on foot only, and is surrounded by nature at its best. Ideal for bird watching the local area has an excellent network of coastal, forestry and hill walks, for cyclists there are a variety of forest tracks and quiet country lanes.
Location
Despite being off the beaten track local amenities are excellent with the artist town of Kirkcudbright (7 miles) and the food town of Castle Douglas (11 miles) both offering a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants.
The local village of Dundrennan (1.5 miles) offers the historic Dundrennan Abby where Mary Queen Of Scots spent her last night on Scottish soil. |
