It was originally built during the 2nd World war to 'lookout' for enemy U-Boats. In 2004 it was converted to a holiday home of the highest standard ideal for couples.
The cottage sits in a field above the cliffs of Rerrick Park farm, access is right to the door. There is a pebble beach access on foot only at certain times of the year. The cottage is surrounded by nature at its best. Ideal for bird watching. The local area has an excellent network of costal, forestry and hill walks. For cyclists their are a variety of forest tracks and quiet country lanes. Location Despite being off the beaten track local amenities are excellent with the artist town of Kirkcudbright (7 miles) and the food town of Castle Douglas (11 miles) both offering a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The local village of Dundrennan (1.5 miles) offers the historic Dundrennan Abby where Mary Queen Of Scots spent her last night on Scottish soil.
