Ideas
For hiking or mountain biking, just open the door and go - bridleways and footpaths take you up through forest, hills, moorland and pastures. There is also a riding stable nearby.
The area around the cottage is excellent for wildlife, from roe deer to red kites, ravens to redstarts. Check our cottage Nature Diary, and add your own sightings. The bird feeders are usually very busy!
The nearest village, Bleddfa, is a mile or so down the lane. The Bleddfa Centre for the arts is here, and a friendly pub serving good food.
Nearby attractions include Knighton on Offa's Dyke, Presteigne and Llandrindod Wells. Or take a trip to Ludlow, the Elan Valley, or Hay-on-Wye.
Relax, take it easy and get re-invigorated, in a place where mobile phones don't yet reach!
Note that the cottages have a phone, but no TV or mobile reception.
