Relax and rejuvenate at our comfortable stone farmhouse cottages in the secluded heart of Radnorshire, the least populated county in all of England and Wales. Below is the greenest of valleys; above is the Radnor Forest, a hilly expanse of forest, pasture, rocky outcrops and moorland.

Lodge Cottage accommodation
  • The Lodge Cottage sitting-room has a traditional slate floor, wooden beams and a wood-burning stove.
  • The large main bedroom has south-facing windows with fine views across the valley to the Radnor Forest.
  • There is a smaller bedroom with two bunk beds, and also a comfortable double sofa bed in the sitting room.
  • The kitchen is brand new, fully equipped with a built in oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and lovely views.
  • The upstairs bathroom has a bath with electric shower above, toilet, and washbasin. There is second toilet and washbasin downstairs.
  • Enclosed shared garden with large lawn and gate to footpath through meadows and woods.
  • See for yourself: for a virtual tour of the cottage, visit our website.

 Old Farmhouse accommodation
  • The Old Farmhouse's unique sitting-room has a traditional slate floor, wooden beams, an old bread oven and a wood-burning stove.
  • The main bedroom has a fine view across the valley. Off this room is a second bedroom with twin beds. The third bedroom has a double bed and a view west up the hill.
  • The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a built in oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and lovely views. The anteroom provides another area to eat or chat.
  • The bathroom has a bath, toilet and washbasin.
  • Enclosed shared garden with large lawn and gate to footpath through meadows and woods.

Ideas
  • For hiking or mountain biking, just open the door and go - bridleways and footpaths take you up through forest, hills, moorland and pastures. There is also a riding stable nearby.
  • The area around the cottage is excellent for wildlife, from roe deer to red kites, ravens to redstarts. Check our cottage Nature Diary, and add your own sightings. The bird feeders are usually very busy!
  • The nearest village, Bleddfa, is a mile or so down the lane. The Bleddfa Centre for the arts is here, and a friendly pub serving good food.
  • Nearby attractions include Knighton on Offa's Dyke, Presteigne and Llandrindod Wells. Or take a trip to Ludlow, the Elan Valley, or Hay-on-Wye.
Relax, take it easy and get re-invigorated, in a place where mobile phones don't yet reach!

Note that the cottages have a phone, but no TV or mobile reception.
