 Lochhouse Farm is a most attractive property nestling beside the river Evan in the South of Scotland close to the tourist town of Moffat. There is a delightful courtyard, steading and stone built farmhouse set in 9 acres of land. The Southern Upland Way runs through the property. We are based in Beattock, one and a quarter miles from Moffat. The farm is close enough to the main roads to make it accessible, but far enough away to be in a quiet riverside setting.
We hope that Lochhouse Farm will be a place where individuals, couples, families and groups can come to 'recharge their batteries'. It is our dream to redevelop the Farm into a residential holiday centre offering more accommodation, cottage and communal, recreation facilities and programmed events.
 
Accommodation
Two cottages for self-catering breaks, 3, 4, or 7 days.  - Entrance to each cottage is level via a 1.8 metre wide covered walkway, with ramps.
- The entrance hall leads to a living/kitchen room with sofa bed, portable TV/DVD, Digital TV box, a wood burning stove, folding dining table and chairs, galley kitchen with 4 burner electric hob, fridge with ice box, microwave combi-oven, kettle, toaster, plus comprehensive equipment.
- Shower room off entrance hall is accessible to modern standards suitable for unassisted wheelchair users.
- Large bedroom with double bed and single bed, wardrobe, and bedside tables. Cot can be provided.
- A large conservatory is set off the lounge overlooking the river and is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs, two armchairs and settee, double boxbed, coffee table and storage.
- The cottages have oil fired central heating and hot water is available at all times.
- Smoking is allowed outside on the covered walkway.
Fire wood provided, as is bed linen and towels.
New for 2008 - Fully equipped meeting space for small conferences/activities available for hire by cottage users.
