 Iona is a refurbished two storey south facing chalet set within the beautiful nature reserve of Inverliever forest with stunning open views towards Loch Awe. There is a large private fenced garden facing towards the loch. Hardwood garden furniture and parasol are provided for relaxing on the veranda.
Ground Floor: Open plan lounge and dining and kitchen. We have a TV and DVD/video (playback only due to no signal) and a CD/cassette player. Patio doors lead onto the veranda to enjoy the wonderful views. The kitchen is very well equipped for six people. There is electric heating in all rooms. We have a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom and the bathroom is on this level with a new MIRA shower. First Floor: - Second double bedroom and a mezzanine area for relaxing or as a play area for the children.
Loch Awe is a truly unspoilt part of the west of Scotland with miles of way-marked forestry commission paths for walking / mountain biking - many starting from the chalet itself. We have free shore fishing and mooring rights too. It is an incredibly peaceful and relaxing place to be.
You are in close reach of Oban 'gateway to the isles' and of course Balamory!
There is a cafe/post office/shop 5 mins walk away, and here you can hire boats, bikes and fishing equipment. Non-smoking restaurant / bar within walking distance.
