A former fell farm in lovely Eskdale this delightful character cottage and barn have been renovated to a high standard yet retain all their original character and charm with exposed beams, wood and slate floors.

Superbly situated in an elevated position both units enjoy extensive views across to Harter Fell and Birker Force waterfall, whilst from its access lane a footpath leads directly to Eel Tarn and the Slight Side route to Scafell. Nearby is the village of Boot with its friendly inns, water mill, and the terminus of the famous Ravenglass & Eskdale miniature railway.

Little Christcliff Cottage and Barn will suit all tastes and are ideally located for the perfect Lakeland holiday.

  • Well equipped kitchen area with fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.
  • Lounge area with TV, DVD.
  • Payphone.
  • Washing machine, iron etc.
  • Garden area with BBQ and furniture.

Included in the price for both units:  
  • Bed linen, kitchen towels, electricity, hot water and heating (Logs for cottage stove are available for a small charge).
  • Welcome pack comprising tea, coffee and fresh milk.
  • NB. Bathroom towels are not provided.
Location:  
  • Superb, peaceful location with magnificent views to Birker Force and Harter Fell.
  • Ideally situated for all walking abilities - from gentle strolls along the River Esk, to the Scafell range, Wasdale and Coniston fells. All can be designed to terminate at one of the many excellent pubs in the valley for good food and real ale. You can walk from the door into the surrounding fells and return to the comforts of a cosy, fell-side cottage or barn.
  • Well stocked village store and Post Office at Eskdale Green (10 minute drive). Please note: ASDA operate a home delivery service to Eskdale. www.asda.co.uk.
  • Local attractions include the Hardknott Roman fort, Eskdale - Ravenglass steam railway, Muncaster Castle and Gardens and the historic port of Whitehaven. Wild beaches from Drigg to St.Bees are excellent for dog walking.

Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £70 is required to confirm the booking; the balance of payment  to be sent 6 weeks before the holiday. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the holiday the full amount is required.
