Ballinskelligs is a small village on the north shore of a bay at the western end of the Iveragh peninsula in South Kerry.
The Gulf Stream makes its European landfall here against the Kerry coast, which makes the climate agreeable all year round. However, it is for the sunshine of the soul that one visits this area, where time seems to have stopped quite a while ago. Come here for a second time and the warm Iveragh people will greet you as if you had just come back from the shop.
