Staithes is a unique village that time appears to have passed by with higgledy piggledy cottages small alleyways and cobbled streets you can imagine what life was like 200 years ago. The Cleveland Way passes through the village and the North Yorkshire Moors are on the doorstep. Staithes has a long seafaring history and Capt. James Cook was apprenticed here when he was a young man and it is said that his love for the sea started in Staithes.

Lingdale Cottage is situated on the High Street in the heart of the village being only one minute from the sea, shops, pubs and restaurants it is ideally situated. The cottage has plenty of character with beamed ceilings and was refurbished in 2006 with a comfortable holiday experience in mind.
