For lovers of history, architecture and art, Lavenham and the surrounding villages are a treasure store of heavily beamed 15th century dwellings and ancient churches. Constable and Gainsborough lived and painted nearby and the countryside abounds with National Trust buildings and gardens.
Lavenham Cottages are situated in the heart of this beautiful medieval village. Grade II listed, they have been renovated and furnished to a very high standard and were awarded the East of England Tourist Board self catering award 1999.

The pretty courtyard has a table and chairs (4) for each cottage and benefits from the afternoon sun. Local amenities within walking distance - 2 minutes to the High street which offers many shopping facilities including the Post Office, chemist, newsagent, small supermarket (open 8am - 10pm 7 days), butcher, baker and grocer. There are excellent restaurants, inns, tea shops, art and craft galleries within the village.
How to find us
From Sudbury take B1115 (B1071) to Lavenham.
From Bury St.Edmunds join A134 towards Sudbury, then A1141 to Lavenham.
Turn by the side of The Swan into Water street, then left into Lady Street and up the hill into the Market Place. The cottages are on the left.
