Lavender Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed stone and thatched cottage, nestling in the idyllic hamlet of Whitcombe. The cottage dates from the 17th century and has flagstone floors, beams and an open fire.

Accommodation:

Cosy double aspect living room with open fireplace, TV and DVD. There is a wide selection of books, maps, videos and games.
Large fully equipped family kitchen, including washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Flagstone floor and dining area overlooking the garden.
Bright modern cottage style bathroom with electric shower.
Upstairs all bedrooms are fully furnished with lovely views.
Spacious master bedroom with king size bed. Cot available.
Double bedroom with pretty iron bedstead.
Cosy bedroom with 3ft. single bed and pull-out bed. Beautiful views of garden and 12th century church.

Outside:

There is a large enclosed garden, perfect for families, with fruit trees and herbaceous borders.
Stone patio with garden furniture and gas BBQ for outside dining.

Lavender Cottage is in the heart of the 'Thomas Hardy Country'. It is part of the ancient and pretty hamlet of Whitcombe which includes a 12th Century church where the poet William Barnes was the Rector.
Whitcombe is 2 miles south of the county town of Dorchester and 5 miles from the World Heritage/Jurassic Coast.
Ideal location for enjoying the Dorset countryside and coastline, with great walks and pretty local villages.
