Langdale View has an enviable location at the entry to the valley with stunning views towards Lingmoor Fell and the Langdale Pikes. The cottage faces due south and is an ideal base for touring, walking or climbing. Enjoy delightful valley walks, climb the Pikes, hike over to Grasmere, stroll along the river to Elterwater or Dungeon Ghjyll or take the local bus to other attractions. By car avoid the busy centres and take the back roads to Coniston, Grasmere, Keswick, Hawkshead and the ferry to Windermere; or for real wilderness the Wrynose and Hardknott passes are nearby and will lead you over the mountains to the little Eskdale railway and the sea!
Accommodation
This cottage has an enviable location amongst some of Lakeland's most spectacular scenery. Langdale View is a comfortable elegantly furnished modern terraced cottage. Large open plan lounge/diner. The well-proportioned kitchen can be hidden behind folding doors if so desired. At the front there is a porch where you can sit and take in the view or sit and soak up the sun outside when it's hot. Up another spiral stairway you will find a roomy bathroom with shower over the bath and two bedrooms. The 'boudoir' is beautifully arranged with a metal bed, drapes and cushions. The larger room is arranged as a twin.
Ground floor  Porch. Spacious Lounge/diner: living flame electric fire, Sky TV with DVD, comfy 3 piece suite, (extensive information folder), radio/cassette player, dining table & chairs. Kitchen: full size electric cooker, kettle, refrigerator, toaster, sandwich maker, microwave, iron etc. Upper floor - Roomy fully tiled bathroom: bath with electric shower over.
- Twin bedroom: wonderful views, easy chair, hairdryer.
- Charming smaller 'boudoir' double bedroom also has great views.
- Bedroom with bunks.
Outside - Front: Sheep often come to nibble the edge of the cottage garden!
General details - Much loved by its owner, Langdale View provides a real 'home from home' - an ideal place to relax after a long day out.
- It is comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated and well-equipped throughout.
- Winter visitors will enjoy warm air central heating as well as an electric fire in the lounge.
- Electricity is included in the price.
- Beds will be made up if linen has been requested (extra charge).
 - Mattresses are state of the art memory foam to ensure you get a good night's sleep after a long day out.
- You have the choice of an ergonomic pillow (good for your neck), soft feather, a hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial bounce-back (standard shape) or a combination!
- Open tread spiral staircase - not suitable for small children.
Location - Chapel Stile is a small quaint village boasting the friendliest Co-op in England which sells delicious local produce and almost anything you could need.
- The house is set quietly a little further up the valley.
 - For excellent food Brambles Café and Wainwright's pub are in the village.
- At least 2 other pubs which serve delicious food are a stroll away.
- Ambleside is 4.5 miles by car (less on foot) and has a huge variety of shops, restaurants, museum, a cinema.
- Grasmere is 2.5 miles by car (easily accessed on foot over the hill), famous for Wordsworth and the Gingerbread shop.
- If you prefer to relax at home but don't want to cook, Lucy's will cater for you at home.
- A step away is the river and a tarn to paddle in. Or get a day pass (£7 in 2007) for the prestigious Langdale Country Club at the other end of the village - here you can swim, sauna, play games, eat, etc etc.
