LANESIDE FARM is an enchanting and luxuriously appointed Lakeland Holiday Cottage, full of 16th century character features but with all modern comforts.
It is the largest of 3 character cottages carefully converted and modernised from a very large 16th century ex-farmhouse. Many luxury features, including en-suite Shower Room, fully equipped modern kitchen, luxury bathroom with Corner bath, and C.H. and Double Glazing for coziness in winter.
LANESIDE FARM is located in a quiet village, within easy reach of many good Pubs and Restaurants and the magnificent attractions (both natural and man-made) of the Lake District National Park - see the 'Places to Visit' page on the owner's website (click on the "View Owner's Website" link above). It is near the medieval village of Cartmel (famous for its 12th century Priory, its Racecourse, and for Sticky Toffee Pudding), and also near the attractive Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands.
The rental charges include all Linen, Towels, Electricity and Gas, and there are no 'hidden extras'. Although sleeping up to 6 people, in 3 bedrooms, prices are discounted when only 1 or 2 bedrooms are in use (ie for 2 or 4 people). Visitors appreciate the many 'little touches' which raise this cottage above the standard of many holiday cottages, and the Visitors' Comments page on the owner's Website illustrates their feelings on what has been described as a 'gem' of a place. Here is an example: "We've been staying in cottages for nigh on 20 years and this is by far the best ... Just Perfect."
