Penkiln Cottage is a sympathetically converted former Barn nestled within the farm yard. We are situated on the edge of the Galloway forest, with stunning views across woodland bounded fields to the Merrick hills and Cairnsmore summit.

Features and Facilities  
  • We have a varied amount of places to visit close by, such as the otter pool, RSPB Wood of Cree and the neighbouring deer park on Cumloden Estate.
  • For those of a sporting nature we have our own Salmon River, and our own 1.5 acre Trout Loch, stocked with Brown and Rainbow Trout.
  • There is the world famous Seven Stains mountain bike trail, along with local golf courses and much much more.
