This modern, alpine-style bungalow is situated within the area of the Cairngorms National Park, at the end of Inveruglas, which comprises a dozen scattered properties served by a hard, unmade, half-mile road leading up from the B970. It is set over 900 feet above sea level, with fine views over the Monadhliath mountains, the River Spey, Insh Marshes RSPB Reserve and, to the rear, the south-west Cairngorms. The enclosed garden has its own stile to the adjoining moorland, where one can join paths leading to the hills and pinewoods which show in the pictures.
  • For walking and birdwatching Inveruglas is ideal, and among the many bird species nesting locally are whinchats, goldcrests and crested tits.
  • An old drove road (not open to other traffic) passes through, giving foot access to a selection of paths and forestry roads leading to Insh, Drumguish and Glen Feshie.
