This luxurious 19th century cottage has recently been fully refurbished, although attractive traditional features have been retained, such as the wood-burning stove in the cosy sitting room. The cottage makes a wonderful pied a terre for a holiday, offering stylish accommodation in a central Highlands location. Overlooking the beautiful spa village of Strathpeffer, it is surrounded by imposing mountain scenery and magical pine forests. The cottage is minutes from the village centre, with its Victorian Spa Pavilion and facilities including the village store, chemist, craft shops, post office, chocolate shop and cafes.
Accommodation The accommodation sleeps 6 with two doubles and one twin room. There is a modern kitchen/dining room with A-rated washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. In the sitting room you can enjoy unwinding with a glass of wine in front of the roaring stove. This, together with underfloor heating, ensures you a comfortable stay. TV, DVD & Hifi separates system. New for 2008 - Wifi Internet. Linen, towels, logs, and electricity are included. Eco-friendly aspects The cottage has been refurbished with environmental issues in mind. Reclaimed slate and sandstone were used extensively together with timber double-glazing. All wood used came from sustainable stocks. To minimise energy loss, double thickness insulation completes the picture. Solar power panels are planned additions to the property in the short term.
