LOCATION:In the Highlands surrounded by Hills Kinaldy Cottage stands on its own behind the owners Kinaldy House.It is in Glen Errochty on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park overlooking the Errochty river and it is secluded and quiet.Although secluded it is only 2.6 miles from the main A9 Perth to Inverness road and is on the North side of the B847.From Edinburgh Airport 86 miles (1.5 hours) or Glasgow Airport 100 miles (2 hours).

HOW TO FIND IT:Very easy but here is more detail:
Take A9 Perth to Inverness road going North,stay on A9 bypassing Pitlochry & Blair Atholl.Keeping on A9 you will see House of Bruar on your right.Prepare to turn left in half a mile onto the B847 signed Calvine.Keep school on your left then just before white cottage on your right turn right onto B847 signed Struan,Kinloch Rannoch,Tummel Bridge.Under railway bridge and over River Garry keep on B847 for approx 2.6 miles.Kinaldy House & Cottage up on hill to right of road (when travelling East to West-Calvine to Trinafour).Kinaldy stone sign either side of drive below cattle grid.Up drive (200 yards) you're there !If you use GPS then beware since post code PH18 5UE takes you South of the river Errochty. Kinaldy is on the NORTH side !

WHAT TO DO AND SEE:Situated within 3 miles of the acknowledged centre of Scotland many visitor attractions are available.These range from walks of all grades,visiting
Castles,Lochs,National Trust Centres,Gardens, to Sports such as Skiing (In season),Golf,Fishing,Cycling,Clay pigeon shooting,Off road driving.Many of our guests mix the energetic with the not so energetic ! Why not relax quietly by the open fire,read or even sleep !

PETS:There is great scope for pets with plenty of choice for walks,water and general freedom and enjoyment.The 2 resident black laboradors, Snipe and Teal,are always ready to welcome guests and their pets.
If you are away for the day and do not wish to take the pet(s) the cottage has a good porch or alternatively there is a good outside kennel which you are welcome to use.There is a 'dog' washing machine for dog rugs, towels etc.We make a small charge of £10 per pet per week.

SHOPPING:For groceries and daily supplies there is a choice of shops in Blair Atholl (9 miles)and a Co-op supermarket in Pitlochry 14 miles).For more serious shopping then Perth (40 miles,45 minutes) has a good choice of all types of shop.Within 4 miles is The House of Bruar with a wide selection of country clothing,food hall and restaurant. Fresh free range eggs available to purchase when available from Kinaldy House
  With so much provided and included in the price this must be one of the best value for money cottages.
-It is so peaceful,secluded and quiet up here.
-It is so really dark at night, without any light pollution that you can see the stars very clearly.
-Great to play scrabble, dominoes and cards again !
-The water from your private spring tastes lovely being clear and cool and uncontaminated.
-The open fire is so welcoming and homely with free logs, kindling & coal.
-Although the cottage is situated in the Highlands it is very easy to find even in the dark if arriving late.
-This is the best equipped cottage that we have seen.So much being provided was one of the reasons for choosing Kinaldy
-This is more like 'Home from Home' rather than a holiday cottage
-We loved your home made shortbread and Gill's cake on our welcome tray and the dog biscuits were a bonus !
-Our dog(s) has had a great holiday as we ourselves.The 'dog' washing machine for blankets/towels etc, the outside kennel and of course all the variety of walks have made it a great holiday for him/her.
-We have never seen such a variety of wildlife with 42 different birds on the list as seen.
-The Pitlchry Festival Theatre is charming and we booked On Line before arrival here, good for a meal as well.
-WiFi works very well in the cottage.

With the new legislation it may be of interest that the local Inn (2 miles),The Struan Inn, when open and if dinner is booked may be able to both collect you and deliver you back to the cottage. Further details in the cottage brochure.
