 Located close to the village of Bradworthy and the beautiful Tamar Lakes, Jay and Wren Lodges are just a 6-mile scenic drive from sandy beaches such as Duck Pool, Sandymouth and the family surf beaches of Bude and Widemouth. This is an excellent base from which to explore North Devon's dramatic coastal paths, Exmoor and Dartmoor, nearby RHS gardens, steam railways and museums. Alternatively, spend the day lazing by the swimming pool!
Situated down a quiet lane and set in rolling Devon countryside, we have two comfortable and well-equipped family lodges set in large, well tended garden and grounds with outdoor swimming pool. The pool is fenced and equipped with safety equipment. Barbecues are available for your use.
The south facing accommodation consists of: Two good size bedrooms, a double bed and bunk beds. Both have wardrobes. A 'Z bed' and cot are also available. Bathrooms have a shower/bath, washbasin and toilet. Jay Lodge has a 'hip bath'. The doors are wide enough for wheelchair access. The kitchen-diner contains a cooker, fridge, microwave, washer, iron and board. The living area is equipped with comfortable furniture, coffee tables or nest, 21" TV with VHS / CD / DVD player. Bed linen and tea towels are supplied but please bring your own towels. Electric heating is installed for use in the chillier seasons. Electricity is metered and charged for at the end of your stay. The swimming pool is set close-by to the accommodation and the large adjacent paddock area is equipped with children's swings. Beside the paddock is a meadow for strolling in that gives lovely views of the distant tors of Bodmin.
The village of Bradworthy is just under 2 miles from the lodges and has useful shops for groceries. The Bradworthy Inn facing the square offers excellent ale and food.
We aim to provide a relaxing retreat from everyday pressures. Out of season weekends or mini-breaks are available.
