Set within the beauty of the Northumberland National Park, Woodside is a beautiful detached stone house, nestled on the hillside just below Kielder Water. It has wonderful open views across rolling meadows which lead to the North Tyne river and Falstone. Set in its own mature gardens, and with 75 metres stretch of river accessed via its wooded footpath Woodside is surrounded by nature with peace and tranquillity in abundance - a place to escape the stress of everyday life.

Kielder Water and Forest is a year round destination offering an abundance of activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, sailing, mountain biking, water-skiing, pony trekking, bird watching and photography.

Or you may wish to simply relax and savour the "most tranquil place in England."

  • Hadrians Wall - The best preserved sections of the wall lie within the Northumberland National Park.
  • Kielder Castle: Kielder forest exhibition, Minotaur Maze, Forest trails and drives.

  • Leaplish and Tower Knowe Waterside Parks: Guided walks, Indoor swimming pool, Miniature golf, Restaurant, Cruise boat, Play area.
  • Kielder Winter Wonderland.
  • Wonderful walks with access to the Penine Way.
  • Many historic towns and villages including Hexham with the best farmers market in the North East, excellent cafes, shops and galleries etc.

Finished to a high standard, Woodside offers very comfortable accommodation comprising:  

  • Living Room - with log burner in traditional stone fireplace and sofabed. TV, DVD and stereo.
  • Dining room - with logburner and traditional stone fireplace.
  • Kitchen - with fridge, electric hob, oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.
  • Downstairs toilet with handbasin.
  • 1st floor:
  • Bathroom with bath with shower over, wc and handbasin.
  • Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom containing wc, shower cubicle, and handbasin.
  • 2 twin bedded rooms.
  • All bedrooms have lovely views.

Outside  

  • Stone barn offers storage facilities for bikes, canoes etc.
  • Also contains utility area with chest freezer and tumble dryer.
  • The property is fully enclosed by stone walls and has mature gardens to front and rear.
  • There is also a wooded area with a footpath leading down to river with 75 metres of river with fishing rights, just across the lane.
  • Parking at the cottage for 3 cars.
