In a setting of the tranquil beauty of Kielder Water and Forest within the Northumberland National Park lies our cottage. The cottage is set on the edge of Kielder Dam with outstanding views from the rear. You can escape the trials of everyday life and experience a peaceful holiday in a stunning environment.
Kielder Water and Forest offers a wealth of choice of activities such as cycling, fishing, water skiing, sailing, pony trekking or just simply relaxing. There are some wonderful places to visit during your stay, including: - Hadrian's Wall - The best preserved sections of the wall cross the hills of the Northumberland National Park and there are many historical and interesting places to visit during your stay.
- Kielder Castle where you will find the Kielder Forest exhibition, guided walks, minotaur maze, bike hire and coffee shop.
- Leaplish Waterside Park facilities include indoor heated swimming pool, Birds of Prey Centre, Kielder Water ferry, miniature golf, walks and cycling routes, play area and restaurant.
- Towns and Villages around Kielder - The historic towns of Hexham and Corbridge are definitely worth a visit during your stay. There are numerous villages around Kielder offering a range of shops, attractions and places to eat.
Accommodation The cottage is stone built and is the middle cottage of a row of five on the edge of Kielder Dam. It has oak beamed ceilings and an inglenook fire place to provide the visitor with a traditional atmosphere. Accommodation includes: - Living room/dining room.
- Kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, automatic washer/dryer and microwave.
- Bathroom with wc, roll top bath, hand basin, and separate shower.
- Two double bedrooms.
- One twin bedroom.
- The rear of the property is beautifully decked where you can sit, relax and take in the wonderful views.
