 Kerrycroy is a 200 year old traditional cottage on the banks of the Crinan Canal by Cairnbaan, ten minutes by car to Lochgilphead. The property has uninterrupted views of the canal from the sheltered front garden, which also offers seclusion and privacy. The garden offers a lovely setting to watch the boat traffic on the canal and the proximity to Lock 11 allows willing helpers to assist passing boats negotiate the canal locks!
The cottage is a peaceful place to just relax or as a centre to explore Argyll's historical and natural attractions: ancient sites such as Kilmartin Glen, home to neolithic burial sites and standing stones; nature reserves like Moine Mhor, ancient bog; fantastic beaches and forest walks; castles and beautiful gardens; cycling trails; boat trips and ferry crossings to many Hebridean islands; local and souvenir shopping in Lochgilphead; great restaurants and hotels offering locally sourced seafood and traditional Scottish cuisine. Watch the wildlife, sunsets and canal life from the front door!
Kerrycroy Cottage
The cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children in one double bedroom with 2 additional beds and room for a cot. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and home from home in style and standard. The enclosed front garden is safe for children and has BBQ and table /chairs. Views of the canal from the living room and bedroom. The cottage is a pleasant 15 mins walk/cycle along the canal towpath to the Cairnbaan hotel offering good quality meals.
