 Kathy's Cottage is a comfortable, well-equipped property, which sleeps up to 4, in an elevated position in the delightful valley of Deepdale, 1 mile from Patterdale, midway between lakes Ullswater and Brotherswater. The cottage is Quality Cumbria accredited and cleaned and maintained to a high standard by the owners. - Kathy's Cottage enjoys panoramic views across the valley to Place Fell, and is perfectly situated for those who want a quiet retreat but yet wish to be in a central location, being only a short drive from many of the Lake District's well-known attractions.
- There are walks suitable for all abilities from the doorstep, including High Street, Place Fell, Helvellyn and Fairfield, as well as many low level walks.
The accommodation, which is all on one level, consists of: Kitchen with electric oven & hob, dishwasher, microwave oven & fridge with ice-box. A freezer is housed in an outdoor storeroom. Living room, with bay window dining area, which makes the most of the views of the surrounding fells. There is satellite TV, video & DVD player. There is a double bedroom at the front of the cottage, again taking advantage of the views, and a second bedroom with a small double bed. Bathroom with electric shower, and heated towel rail. The cottage is heated by night storage heaters, and an electric fire in the sitting room. Water is from our own private supply fed by a spring, filtered and treated by U.V. light. Ample parking for 2 cars and secure storage for bicycles etc. The cottage has a garden with lawn, rose beds and paved patio area with seat. There is a stream and small waterfall running to the side of the property. Prices are inclusive of electricity and bed linen. The villages of Patterdale and Glenridding, both within walking distance of Kathy's Cottage provide a wide range of services for holiday-makers: Post Office, shops, pubs and cafes, doctor's surgery, filling station etc.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, with short breaks available out of season.
