Come and enjoy a self catering holiday in a beautiful part of the Lake District on a working hill farm, where a very warm welcome awaits you by the owners, Jos and Margaret Teasdale.
Jenkin Farm and Cottage are in an ideal situation with a spectacular outlook over open countryside extending to the Solway Firth and the Scottish Lowlands in the distance.
Jenkin Cottage will sleep up to 6, the accommodation comprising: Two large bedrooms with a double and a single bed in each. Bed linen, duvets, electric blankets and towels are all provided. Large modrn bathroom with bath and shower. Sitting room with Lakeland slate open coal fire. Colour TV and video. Fully equipped modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer, automatic washing machine, microwave oven, table linen and tea towels included. There are storage heaters in every room. Fitted carpets on all floors. Logs, coal and electric included in weekly rent. Our cottage is fully double glazed, has its own Spring water supply, is very comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated to provide cosy holiday accommodation with almost total peace and quiet. Car parking in the farmyard. Children welcome. Sorry no pets. Long weekends or part weeks are available in the Low Season. Fishing, horse riding, sailing and golf are all available in the area. Embleton is a small village situated 3 miles from Cockermouth and 10 miles from Keswick. Cockermouth, the Northern Gateway to the Lakes is our local market town where the well known poet, William Wordsworth, was born; his house is a tourist attraction and open to the public.
