Woodpecker and Kingfisher are two semi-detached holiday homes, just outside the small village of Wattisfield, especially adapted for disabled visitors with all level access, parking and fishing facilities. Awarded M3 Assisted Mobility and Three Stars by the Tourist Board. OPEN TO ALL.
  Wattisfield is situated on the borders of Suffolk and Norfolk, 12 miles from historic Bury St Edmunds and 10 miles from the market town of Diss. We are within easy reach of the Norfolk Heritage Coast with its vast beaches and bird watching reserves, Norfolk Broads, many pretty Suffolk villages and seaside towns as well as cities of Cambridge and Norwich.
 
Accommodation Both cottages have one twin bedroom with a sofa bed in the lounge so as to cater for up to four persons. They are both on one level, with low thresholds and wider doors for the benifit of the less mobile and wheelchair users. Each has a wet room with shower, shower chair, raised toilet, lowered basin, safety flooring and rails to aid mobility, if required. The small kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and partly lowered worktops with hob for all to enjoy cooking. The lounge/diner is open planned leading into the kitchen, with two sofas (one a bed), TV with teletext and Freeview, DVD, dining table and double doors leading to a private patio. All heating, linen, towels and basic provisions are included in the price. Outside Each patio and courtyard garden has outdooor furniture and bbq with views overlooking our pond where visitors are welcome to relax and fish for the different varieties and sizes of carp. Note that the gardens are not totally enclosed, however we have an adjacent 10 acre field that can be used for walking.
