IRTON HOUSE FARM is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands probably one of the finest views to be found in the Northern Lakes. It is a working sheep farm and was chosen as the venue for the BBC series "One Man And His Dog 1991". At IRTON HOUSE FARM we have four self catering properties as follows:
THE MARTINS, sleeps 6
Spacious accommodation for two couples or extended family including provision for wheelchair users. Finished to a high standard, being centrally heated and double glazed throughout. There is ample parking directly adjacent. There are no steps on the ground floor:
Ground floor: Entrance hall with ramped access from outside. Large fully tiled shower room with wheel-over shower deck, whb and wc with support arms and grab rails. Twin bedroom. Spacious lounge with colour TV and video, and french windows to patio garden at rear. Kitchen/diner - fully equipped with fridgefreezer, dishwasher, electric oven, ceramic hob and microwave. First floor: Large family bedroom with double bed, with en-suite bathroom. Further twin bedded room.
THE SWALLOWS
Sleeps 4 people (double room and a twin room), all on the ground floor. There is an open plan living room / kitchen and shower room / toilet / wash basin. Central heating and colour TV. Patio garden to the rear, ramped access and ample parking.
THE GRANARY
Superb self-catering accommodation for two, designed to a high specification for wheelchair users, but equally suitable for able-bodied guests.
There is a large front porch with ramped access from adjacent parking space and a walled patio garden to the rear.
The apartment is centrally heated with no steps. It has twin beds, an open plan living room with colour TV, and an accessible kitchen area. There is a wheel-over shower, with folding seat to the wall, grab rails and support bars to the toilet and ample space for a lateral transfer.
THE JINNEY
Accessible self-catering accommodation for 2 people (twin beds), with superb view down Bassenthwaite Lake and surrounding fells.
THE ROBINS
This immaculate self-contained centrally heated ground floor apartment comprises a spacious lounge/dining room and a fully fitted kitchen, including microwave. It has a comfortable bedroom and modern "wet-room" shower. There is ample parking.
NB: Being on the Ground Floor, this luxury apartment offers "easy walking" accommodation. It is NOT suitable for wheelchair users.
NB Guests are requested not to smoke in the accommodation
