Situated by the shore of Longhope Bay on the island of Hoy and enjoying spectacular panoramic views, House O'Wards is a charming, cosy whitewashed cottage surrounded by its own secluded garden. - Seals bask on the rocks below the cottage, and an abundance of birds, wildlife and wild flowers fills the surrounding fields.
- Ten minutes walk away is the little village of Longhope with shop, post office, public house and pier where the ferry, fishing boats, yachts and lifeboat shelter.
- John is the mechanic of the Longhope lifeboat, and always happy to arrange a time to show visitors around the station.
- Leslye is a working artist with her studio nearby. Original artwork is for sale in the cottage and at the studio (by arrangement).
- We are always happy to share extensive local knowledge.
Accommodation: Central heating, bed linen and towels included. Washer/dryer, microwave, hairdryer. Two TVs, DVD player, music centre. Books, games and information and maps provided. Enclosed sheltered garden with patio decking and garden furniture. All rooms have sea views. Enjoy the peaceful island ambience in this traditional shoreside cottage.
