Thanks for the use of Honeysuckle Cottage again Louise and Harris. It's like coming home with all its comforts. Visited many places like Kelso, Galashiels, Jedburgh with its fine abbey, Berwick and Hawick. Spectacular beach walks including Bamburgh and its especially brilliant castle. Best pork pies and kippers ever eaten from Carters Butchers in Bamburgh. Loads of wildlife seen locally including buzzards, hares, deer, kestrels, bats etc. We have enjoyed a fantastic week and wanted for nothing (except maybe another week or two!). Another enjoyable week. Thank you for the welcome pack. Enjoyed days out in Melrose and Jedburgh, both have an abbey to look around and both are very interesting. Paxton House is also worth a visit. Left snow at home to come here, bitterly cold winds at times but "wrap up warm" and you are ok. Cosy cottage, so not cold while here. Many thanks again Louise and Harris for the use of the cottage. Our 4th visit to Honeysuckle - a great week in the countryside. Weather started as snow, sunshine, clouds and a few spots of rain. Again we came rural to do some walks in the country and did just that! We have had a brilliant chill out week and hope to come back end of this year or next March again. Very comfortable, spacious and well cared for accommodation. First snow showers of winter but mostly bracing with clear blue skies. Autumnal colouring excellent. A very enjoyable few days. N & A, Ross-shire, October 2012

Spotless, comfortable, peaceful, plenty of room for two. The wildlife (birds) on the patio quite entertaining! Places to visit - Coldingham Bay, Dunbar, St Abbs, coastal walks brilliant, Kelso, Berwick are all excellent. Best every sunday lunch - Cross Inn, Paxton. The cottage is warm and well equipped. Firstly a big thanks to Louise and Harris for sharing this lovely corner of the world where they are very fortunate to live. We really don't want to go home! Weather has been terrific (a little too hot for me). We've visited beautiful places and have seen beautiful things. We've also enjoyed the lovely walks. I can honestly say we have not been disappointed with anything; be it visits, sights, food etc. We have met lots of friendly people of all ages, making us feel welcome. Have enjoyed a very relaxing break here with my dog Megan...Cottage is lovely and cosy with some lovely touches. Milk, wine, tea and coffee such a lovely gesture on arrival. Honeysuckle Cottage is an excellent base for visiting the coast - we managed to cover North Berwick to Alnmouth (plus Holy Island) - and also the Border towns of Melrose, which we particularly liked, Peebles, Hawick and Kelso also Wooler and Coldstream. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable and great for dogs with the secure garden...We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - going home for a rest now - there was so much to keep us on the go!! Had a great relaxing week...Thoroughly enjoyed the coast line and went on some beautiful beaches. The dogs loved it as well as us. Another lovely week! Great to see you all again and looking forward to booking for next year! For new visitors, do visit the borders towns including Melrose, the Lammermuirs and the Cheviots (fantastic scenery & wildlife) - try the cullen skink at St Abbs and explore all of the coast. Roslyn Chapel is a must as are the numerous other ancient monuments - Hume Castle is worth a visit for the amazing 360 degree view, peace and quiet. Thanks for being so attentive and welcoming! We have had a good relaxing break here at Honeysuckle, the weather was an absolute bonus. It is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful countryside, towns and villages. The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable and cosy and very warm, welcoming and helpful owners in Louise and Harris.
