Hi Louise and Harris, After a hectic week in Perth, where James and Holly had their beautiful wedding, it was so nice to come to Honeysuckle and relax. We have wanted for nothing apart from perhaps another week! We have again been blessed for the last two weeks with glorious weather. It was lovely to catch up again and hopefully we will be back before long especially now we are both retired. Many thanks to you all, take care and see you soon.  Lots of Love K & R, Yorkshire, August 2015

We have had a really enjoyable week.  It has been so peaceful and quiet and the cottage is perfect.  We hope to return. C, P and Alfie the collie dog, Chorley, Lancashire, August 2015

Louise and Harris, We have enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. It has been a relaxing and comfortable break between our travels and we will have fond memories of our stay here.  Thank you again, P & W, Brisbane, Australia, July/August 2015

A great cottage and a great week's holiday.  Lovely area to drive around and lots of dog friendly places to visit.  Weather kind too!  Would come again.  A, J & G, Clifton Cumbria, July 2015

We have had a lovely restful week - weather not so good, typical Scottish weather! Honeysuckle Cottage is a lovely wee cottage and really well equipped. Enjoyed our visits to all the Borders towns - Kelso and Melrose our favourites. Belle our Irish Setter enjoyed the beach at Scremerston - worth a visit. Thank you for the milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and wine - really appreciated a cup of tea when we got here. Regards L, A & B, Nairn, Highlands, June 2015

Our fourth visit here - the cottage is just perfect for us and the dog.  Lots of walking in the Borders and Northumberland and the weather was just right - not too hot, not too wet. Thanks to Louise and Harris for the welcome pack.  We've had a lovely week and will hopefully be back again soon.  Kind Regards J, I & S the staffie, Birmingham, June 2015

We came away for some rest and relaxation which is exactly what we got.  Your cottage is lovely with everything we needed. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The weather was kind to us, sunshine every day, lovely sunsets and clear starry nights. The dogs loved it too and were tired out at the end of the day. We would definitely recommend to others looking for a "chill out" break.  H & E, Tillibody, Nr Stirling, Scotland, March 2015

Thank you for having us to stay in your lovely cottage.  What a perfect stay we had over New Year.  We had great weather so lucky.  Visited all the local pubs, had a good walk on the coast around St Abbs...We would love to come back again and explore more history, ruins, battlefields and castles.  Thank you - perfect cottage.  A&C, Hampshire, Dec 2014/Jan 2015

Our fifth visit to Honeysuckle Cottage albeit a long weekend.  Nice, relaxing time from stresses of home.  Weather sunny, windy, chilly but dry for November.  Done two walks, chilled out so going home a little more relaxed.  Thank you Louise and Harris once again for weekend, goodies and catch up.  Will be returning for another holiday.  Enjoy.  S & G, Fife, November 2014

Really enjoyed our few days in your lovely, cosy cottage in this beautiful area!  Looking forward to a return visit.  Thank you.  V & T, Fife, October 2014

Honeysuckle Cottage is the perfect base in which to explore the Borders.  We have enjoyed some superb walks along the amazing coastal routes and walked the Cochrane Pike in the Cheviots at Little Ingram - beautiful scenery!  A guided tour at Paxton House was interesting and we ambled along the River Tweed to Union Bridge - worth a visit.  We had some excellent, very generous meals at The Cross Inn at Paxton.  Thank you Louise and Harris we've had a lovely week in your lovely cottage - couldn't ask for more!  S & D, Bedfordshire, August 2014

Relaxing week and we enjoyed sitting on the patio in the sunshine.  A very comfortable cottage in a beautiful area.  So much to see and do that we are already planning a return visit!  Agree with previous visitors' comments regarding breakfast at Paxton House - very good!  Thank you for the welcome goodies.  Best wishes P & H, Salisbury, Wiltshire, August 2014

Our third visit here and another fantastic fortnight!  Weather has been great again - loads of walks and visits (North Berwick, St Abbs, Bamburgh).  Edinburgh well worth a visit - great train prices if you book in advance.  Lowry exhibition in the Granary Gallery, Berwick on until September.  Thank you again Louise and Harris.  The cottage and gardens are always lovely - a real home from home.  Love the new artwork cards.  Hopefully see you again soon.  J & I, Birmingham, July/August 2014

Had a wonderful relaxing holiday.  Weather was absolutely beautiful.  Did a lot of touring.  Paxton House is wonderful for food and lovely breakfasts.  We were there the day a large black swan was erected.  Beautiful sculpture.  Lovely photos but didn't have time for drinks.  Lovely welcome back from Louise and Harris.  Great cottage and patio.  In a lovely setting - so peaceful and comfy.  Dog loved it.  A,C & M, Stornoway, June 2014

A wonderful relaxing week!  Despite the weather forecast we have had little rain and enjoyed visiting lots of places in the area - Bamburgh Castle is a must as is Holy Island!  "Cragside" - an amazing house and the grounds so lovely at this time of the year.  The coastal routes are so lovely, Eyemouth to St Abbs.  Did we relax?  Oh yes, the cottage is so comfortable with everything you need.  The Cross Inn is definitely recommended, food excellent!  If you are in Berwick find "Audela" in Bridge street - good food!  Thank you Louise and Harris.  Brilliant cottage, brilliant week.  L & R, Lancashire, June 2014

Again, we have really enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage.  The weather has been ok.  Had an excellent day in Edinburgh by train from Berwick-upon-Tweed and you are there in under an hour!  Book tickets beforehand as much cheaper.  Hume Castle (Kelso way) gives you great views from the top.  You can see for miles.  Thank you for the tea, coffee, milk, wine etc.  All gratefully received!  As usual the cottage is clean and cosy.  Many thanks Louise and Harris.  H & J, Leicestershire, May 2014

After July's visit we decided that this was the perfect place for an escape during bonfire night for Dodger.  Had a lovely time again.  Superb views on frosty mornings, fantastic starry nights and blue skies and a bit of sun during daytimes.  Cottage is a perfect size and has everything we need.  Dodger made himself at home, wandering round the garden.  Hope to be back next year.  J, I & D, Birmingham, November 2013

Enjoyed exploring the Scottish Borders.  St Abbs is well worth a visit.  Have had a lovely time.  R, J & M (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), September 2013

Thank you for a lovely stay.  Never investigated the Scottish Borders area before and we weren't disappointed.  Have had plenty of sea air and coastal walks.  Allanton Inn is to be recommended  - lovely food and good service.  J & A, N. Yorks, September 2013

Great to be back...The cottage was as comfortable as ever and the weather was fine with a little rain, but always when we were indoors!  Can we recommend the Lammermuir Hills for anyone fancying a leisurely drive with tons of scenery and commanding views - speaking of which do visit Hume Castle (Kelso-ish) for the best views.  We are just deciding which dates to book for next year!  H & P, Derbyshire, September 2013

Had a lovely week.  The cottage was very nice and comfortable.  Lovely peaceful views over farmland - dramatic skies in the evening!  Great walk for the dog to Whiteadder River from the cottage.  Ideal base for a number of interesting places.  Dunbar - John Muir, coast/woodland/adventure park off A1 - worth a visit if you enjoy walking and beautiful sea views/bay.  Eyemouth worth a visit and coastal walk to St Abbs.  Found people very friendly at both places.  The Sole Inn/pub in Eyemouth has good food and accepts dogs in the bar - who get the "royal treatment" - water and biscuits!!!  Look out for the seals in the harbour.  Would recommend Honeysuckle to anyone who wants a peaceful comfortable holiday!  J, M and D, Lincolnshire, August/Sept 2013

What can we say.  A lovely cottage - clean and tidy.  We have had some lovely walks along the coast.  St Abbs is worth a visit and St Cuthbert's Way.  There is so much to see up here so we will have to come back and pick up where we left off.  Once again thank you for letting us share this wonderful place Louise and Harris.  See you soon. A, D, B and O, Northampton, August 2013

Well worth the long journey from South Wales to this beautiful part of the country.  Paxton House well worth a visit as is Holy Island.  Location of the cottage is perfect.  Very clean and tidy on arrival.  Will definitely recommend to family and friends and will almost certainly return.  Thanks Louise and Harris.  S & S, Gwent, S. Wales, August 2013

Had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful cottage in a peaceful location.  Would recommend St Abbs and Eyemouth for harbour settings and views.  S & P, Northants, August 2013

Lovely cottage in a superb location.  Perfect for what we needed, for the two of us and the dog.  Two weeks of peace and quiet and wonderful weather.  Loads of wildlife including five pheasants on the driveway.  Hope to be back soon.  J, I & D (the staffie!), July 2013

Lovely cottage with all amenities in a beautiful location.  Very peaceful and beautiful outlook onto the garden to the countryside.  Would recommend the coastal walk from Eyemouth to St Abbs.  Watch out for the local pheasant - took me all week to capture him on camera!!  D & B, Durham, June 2013

We have enjoyed the time at Honeysuckle Cottage and the lovely landscape.  We did a lot of trips to the surrounding area and Northumberland.  Thanks again for the warm welcome!  Wish you all the best, C & T, Dresden, Germany, May/June2013

Thanks for the use of Honeysuckle Cottage again Louise and Harris.  It's like coming home with all its comforts.  Visited many places like Kelso, Galashiels, Jedburgh with its fine abbey, Berwick and Hawick.  Spectacular beach walks including Bamburgh and its especially brilliant castle.  Best pork pies and kippers ever eaten from Carters Butchers in Bamburgh.  Loads of wildlife seen locally including buzzards, hares, deer, kestrels, bats etc.  We have enjoyed a fantastic week and wanted for nothing (except maybe another week or two!).  Will have to wait until Spring Bank Holiday for that.  See you soon, many thanks.  K & R, Maltby, S. Yorks, April 2013

Another enjoyable week.  Thank you for the welcome pack.  Enjoyed days out in Melrose and Jedburgh, both have an abbey to look around and both are very interesting.  Paxton House is also worth a visit.  Left snow at home to come here, bitterly cold winds at times but "wrap up warm" and you are ok.  Cosy cottage, so not cold while here.  Many thanks again Louise and Harris for the use of the cottage.  Really good week.  H & J, Leicestershire, March 2013

Our 4th visit to Honeysuckle - a great week in the countryside.  Weather started as snow, sunshine, clouds and a few spots of rain.  Again we came rural to do some walks in the country and did just that!  We have had a brilliant chill out week and hope to come back end of this year or next March again.  A big thanks to Louise and Harris for the welcome pack and for the use of cottage.  See you both soon.  S & G, Fife, Scotland, March 2013

Very comfortable, spacious and well cared for accommodation.  First snow showers of winter but mostly bracing with clear blue skies.  Autumnal colouring excellent.  A very enjoyable few days.  N & A, Ross-shire, October 2012

Louise - thank you for a lovely week.  We had a fabulous time in Northumberland/Scottish Borders.  Loved the coastline, beach walks and castles.  Your cottage was an ideal place to return home every evening.  MG, Poole, Dorset, October 2012

Spotless, comfortable, peaceful, plenty of room for two.  The wildlife (birds) on the patio quite entertaining!  Places to visit - Coldingham Bay, Dunbar, St Abbs, coastal walks brilliant, Kelso, Berwick are all excellent.  Best every sunday lunch - Cross Inn, Paxton.  The cottage is warm and well equipped.  Thank you.  K, S & L (the westie), Lancashire, September 2012

Thank you Louise and Harris for the lovely welcome pack.  The cottage is cosy, warm and comfy - very relaxing and had a great week here.  We love this area - been lots of times but first time in Honeysuckle, Hutton.  We like it very much and we will be back.  G, M & M (the staffie), Castleford, W. Yorks, September 2012

Cottage in a lovely location.  Peaceful and tranquil - well equipped and clean.  Will definitely come back.  Much to see and do - in fact too much for one week!  Feel much more relaxed - wish we could stay here forever!  J, G & P, West Yorkshire, August 2012

Firstly a big thanks to Louise and Harris for sharing this lovely corner of the world where they are very fortunate to live.  We really don't want to go home!  Weather has been terrific (a little too hot for me).  We've visited beautiful places and have seen beautiful things.  We've also enjoyed the lovely walks.  I can honestly say we have not been disappointed with anything; be it visits, sights, food etc.  We have met lots of friendly people of all ages, making us feel welcome.  We will have to return one day to take up where we left off.  Thanks again.  T, F & R, Oldham, Lancs, August 2012

Have enjoyed a very relaxing break here with my dog Megan...Cottage is lovely and cosy with some lovely touches.  Milk, wine, tea and coffee such a lovely gesture on arrival.  The enclosed garden also an extra bonus...Easy access to many places of interest.  Would definitely return again.  M & M, Newcastle, July 2012

Honeysuckle Cottage is an excellent base for visiting the coast - we managed to cover North Berwick to Alnmouth (plus Holy Island) - and also the Border towns of Melrose, which we particularly liked, Peebles, Hawick and Kelso also Wooler and Coldstream.  The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable and great for dogs with the secure garden...We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - going home for a rest now - there was so much to keep us on the go!!  J, G & B (the Border Terrier), Doncaster, July 2012

Had a great relaxing week...Thoroughly enjoyed the coast line and went on some beautiful beaches.  The dogs loved it as well as us.  Can highly recommend the Cochrane Pike Walk - beautiful scenery and very good for keeping you fit...Thanks for a lovely stay Louise and Harris.  We will be back!  E & R, W. Yorks, June 2012

Another lovely week!  Great to see you all again and looking forward to booking for next year!  For new visitors, do visit the borders towns including Melrose, the Lammermuirs and the Cheviots (fantastic scenery & wildlife) - try the cullen skink at St Abbs and explore all of the coast.  Roslyn Chapel is a must as are the numerous other ancient monuments - Hume Castle is worth a visit for the amazing 360 degree view, peace and quiet.  Thanks for being so attentive and welcoming!  See you soon, P & H, Hadfield, May/June 2012

We have had a good relaxing break here at Honeysuckle, the weather was an absolute bonus.  It is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful countryside, towns and villages.  The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable and cosy and very warm, welcoming and helpful owners in Louise and Harris.  Would certainly stay here again and will recommend to friends and family. D & R, Sheffield, May 2012

We have had a lovely relaxing week.  The cottage is comfy and cosy - and the welcome is always good from Louise and Harris.  The cake was delicious especially with the wine!  Breakfast at Paxton House is worth a go - served till 11.30am.  Yet again we have enjoyed our time at Honeysuckle Cottage.  H, J & H, Leicestershire, April 2012

A warm and friendly welcome again from Louise and Harris on this our 3rd visit to Honeysuckle.  A great chill out week away from home and work.  We love it here so will be back!  Enjoy Honeysuckle.  S & G, Fife, Scotland, March 2012
