Homefield Garden Flat is situated on the edge of the village of Aveton Gifford three miles north-west of Kingsbridge on the way to Modbury, within walking distance of the village Shop, the Fisherman's Rest pub/restaurant and the 14th Century Church with its Norman Tower. There is a large village green and a tennis court that can be used by arrangement at the shop.
Aveton Gifford sits on the River Avon, or Aune, that flows from the Avon Dam on Dartmoor down to Bantham Beach and Burgh Island. There are many walks from Homefield along the Devon lanes and footpaths and, of course, along the famous tidal road beside the Avon river. Beaches, sailing, fishing, golf courses and the South Devon Coast Path are all within a few miles by car.
Homefield Garden Flat provides a good base from which to explore the South Hams from picturesque Salcombe and Dartmouth to dramatic Dartmoor.
